The Next Crash: Making the Fed an Instrument for Disaster

Warning: What you are about to read is not about Russia, the 2016 election, or the latest person to depart from the White House in a storm of tweets. It’s the Beltway story hiding in plain sight with trillions of dollars in play and an economy to commandeer.  While we’ve been bombarded with a litany of scandals from the Oval Office and the Trump family, there’s a crucial institution in Washington that few in the media seem to be paying attention to, even as President Trump quietly makes it his own. More obscure than the chambers of the Supreme Court, it’s a place where he has already made substantial changes. I’m talking about the Federal Reserve.
As the central bank of the United States, the “Fed” sets the financial tone for the global economy by manipulating interest rate levels. This impacts everyone, yet very few grasp the scope of its influence......  http://www.nomiprins.com/thoughts/2018/4/27/the-next-crash-making-the-fed-an-instrument-for-disaster.html

U.S. official: We don’t seek to renegotiate Iran deal
U.S. non-proliferation envoy says Washington hoping to fix Iran deal’s flaws with supplementary agreement.
President Donald Trump, who has blasted the 2015 nuclear deal as “the worst deal ever negotiated”, in January decided to extend a waiver on nuclear sanctions that were imposed on Iran. However, he made clear it was the last time he would extend the waiver and has given the European signatories the May 12 deadline to “fix the terrible flaws” of the deal.

WHITE LIVES MATTER: Another racist murder against whites rocks South Africa as black gang who ‘hates whites’ shoots a woman dead and beats the hell out her brother-in-law
Four men have been arrested after a woman was shot dead and her British brother-in-law tied and beaten during a raid on their South African farm by a gang who said they ‘hate whites’.
Sophisticated North Korean Diplomacy Rewards Kim Jong-un

.....what appears to be emerging is very similar to a strategy cleverly developed by the North Korean leadership over a number of years. As Pyongyang needed to bring the United States to the negotiating table, while at the same time guaranteeing its survival, it pursued its nuclear-weapons program. Since Washington seems to have understood that a military solution is not practicable, especially given the pressure brought to bear by its allies all too cognizant of a nuclear-armed DPRK, Pyongyang is now willing to display its good will, deciding to surprise the world by embarking on negotiations, with the renunciation of its nuclear weapons as a major bargaining chip.

Under these conditions, Pyongyang is willing to cooperate, and South Korea welcomes the initiative with open arms, accelerating the meeting between the two leaders and paving the way for peace on the peninsula. The People’s Republic of China applauds the diplomatic efforts and encourages South Korea, and later America, in these diplomatic efforts. Seoul, Beijing and Pyongyang have every interest in reaching an all-encompassing deal, with or without Washington. The diplomatic ability of this trio has managed to leave the United States with its back against the wall, first of all obliging it to sit down at the negotiating table (something already revolutionary for reasons explained above), and then requiring it to ease sanctions considerably..... https://www.strategic-culture.org/news/2018/04/27/sophisticated-north-korean-diplomacy-rewards-kim-jong-un.html

Israel To Build New Embassy Quarter In Jerusalem As More Countries Decide To Follow President Trump And Move Their Embassies There

EDITOR’S NOTE: When President Trump made the twin blockbuster announcements that 1). the United States recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, and 2). the United States would move their Embassy to Jerusalem on May 14th, it triggered a flood of other nations to also decide to move their embassies there. Now Israel is mapping out an all-new embassyq
Why a Bar Can Boot Trump Supporters, But a Bakery Cannot Deny Gay Customers
A judge ruled that a bar was well within its right to kick out Trump supporters. And this is great news.  Not because I have any particular animosity towards Trump supporters (any more than other enablers of government oppression). I’m not saying Trump supporters should be kicked out of bars. If I owned a bar I certainly wouldn’t kick out Trump supporters. After all, it’s not like the Bernie supporters have enough money to keep a business afloat.  But this is a win for freedom of association. All interactions should be consensual. Obviously, we understand this concept when it comes to relationships and sex. But for some reason, fewer people hold consent as so important when it comes to business transactions.  You don’t have to go to a bar, and a bar doesn’t have to serve you.  But this does seem like quite the contradiction compared to courts forcing bakers to bake cakes for gay couples.....   http://www.thedailybell.com/news-analysis/why-a-bar-can-boot-trump-supporters-but-a-bakery-cannot-deny-gay-customers/
In a groundbreaking new study, researchers at the University of Minnesota used a customized, low-cost 3D printer to print electronics on a real hand for the first time.  The technology could be used by soldiers on the battlefield to print temporary sensors on their bodies to detect chemical or biological agents or solar cells to charge essential electronics.  Researchers also successfully printed biological cells on the skin wound of a mouse. The technique could lead to new medical treatments for wound healing and direct printing of grafts for skin disorders.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DTXqUrmr3FQ
