The Mexican Gold 50 Peso was issued from Banco de Mexico from 1921-1947.  It is the largest bullion coin from Mexico.  There was a restrike in 1947 for this coin.  It is often called “centenario” which refers to their independence from Spain in 1821 (the coin commemorated 100 years of freedom).
